How do I set up my council tax and water?

We have created a unique digital journey that allows you to set up or take over all your household utilities in one go, including council tax and water. The process is quick and easy, enabling you to complete the required services for your property. Alternatively, you can book a call, and one of our advisers will contact you to guide you through this fast, easy, and completely free-of-charge process.

What is the difference between fixed and variable tariffs?

Variable tariffs may start with lower prices and no exit fees, but costs could increase later. Fixed energy rates offer stability and predictability over a set period, shielding consumers from market fluctuations and unexpected bill hikes. Unlike variable rates, fixed rates provide peace of mind and financial security, unaffected by market changes.

What is an exit fee?

An exit fee is the charge imposed by your energy supplier if you terminate your contract early.

If you have a dual fuel tariff, which means you receive both gas and electricity from the same supplier, you may unfortunately be required to pay an exit fee for each service.

How far in advance can I set up my energy before moving in?

You can set up your energy with Home Telecom up to 28 days in advance from the calendar in the checkout process. This allows home movers to arrange their energy services before they arrive, taking some of the hassle away from moving home. By organising your energy setup ahead of time, you can ensure a smoother transition and have one less thing to worry about during your move.–
